The program provides background information on the selection and installation
of on site septic systems.
The diskettes contain two tutorials; one which is entirely text oriented, for
monochrome ASCII text PCs, and one which requires EGA graphics display
capabilities as well as a hard disk.
To install:
Place this disk in drive X:
Make a directory on your Y: drive in which to install this program.
At the DOS prompt enter >> X:install X: Y: path.
To run, simply copy the files on both of the distribution diskettes into a
subdirectory on your hard disk.
Type: EPATEXT
to run the text-based tutorial,
Type: EPAGRAPH
to run the color graphics version.

Individual programs are available for $15; two or more programs
for $10 and the entire set of 18 programs for $135. This price
covers software registration, notification of updates and
limited phone support. This program is available ONLY on 3 1/2"
HD diskettes. The entire software collection requires over 60
megabyte of hard disk storage, while some of the programs are as
small as two megabytes when installed.
Registered owners of this software may contact the Farm Building
Plan Service (Ph. (317)494-1172) for additional information on
these and other programs in the Environmental Education series. It
is not possible to provide assistance to unregistered users.

PROGRAM TITLES IN PURDUE'S ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION SOFTWARE SERIES
Groundwater Education System:
Requires a PC-compatible with a hard disk with approximately 1.5
Mbytes of free space, 640 K RAM and EGA graphics. A minimum of a
fast AT class computer is required - a 386 with mouse is
preferred. Note: the program requires approximately 540 K bytes of
the 640 K RAM be available.
Private Drinking Water Systems:
Requires a PC-compatible with a hard disk with 5.5 bytes of free
disk space, 640 K RAM and EGA graphics. A minimum of a fast AT
class computer is required - a 386 with mouse is preferred.
Note: the program requires approximately 540 K bytes of the 640
K RAM be available.
Residential Water Conservation Techniques:
Requires a PC-compatible with a hard disk with 3.5 Meg of space
available, 512 K RAM available and EGA graphics. A minimum of a
fast AT class computer is required- a 386 is preferred.
Wetlands Education:
Requires a PC-compatible with a hard disk, 640 K RAM and VGA
graphics. A minimum of a fast AT class computer is required- A 386
with mouse is preferred. Approximately 2 Mbytes of free space on the
hard disk is required. Note that approximately 540 K of RAM must be
available.
Water Efficient Landscaping:
Requires a PC-compatible with a hard disk, 640 K RAM and VGA
graphics. A minimum of a fast AT class computer is required- A
386 with mouse is preferred. Note: the program requires
approximately 540 K bytes of the 640 K RAM be available.
Surface Water Education:
Requires a PC-compatible with a hard disk, 640 K RAM and VGA
graphics. A minimum of a fast AT class computer is required-
a 386 with mouse is preferred. Note: the program requires
approximately 540 K bytes of the 640 K RAM be available and 4
Mbytes of hard disk space free.
Soil Erosion:
Requires a PC-compatible with a hard disk, 640 K RAM and VGA
graphics. A minimum of a fast AT class computer is required- a 386
with mouse is preferred. Note: the program requires approximately
540 K bytes of the 640 K RAM be available and 4 Mbytes of hard disk
space free.

Pesticide Applicator Regulations:
Requires a PC-compatible with a hard disk, 640 K RAM and VGA
graphics. A minimum of a fast AT class computer is required- A
386 with mouse is preferred. Note: the program requires
approximately 540 K bytes of the 640 K RAM be available.
Approximately 2 Mbytes of free space on the hard disk is
required.
On-Farm Pesticide Storage:
Requires a PC-compatible with a hard disk, 640 K RAM and EGA
